Dr Alia Nizam
Having worked as a clinical pharmacist in cancer services for a number of years at Bart’s Health and at University College London Hospital (UCLH), Alia was keen to explore more project management opportunities. She completed her Darzi fellowship in 2016, after which she took on the role as the Macmillan Project Lead for stratified follow-up at UCLH three days a week and continued with her clinical role for the remaining two days. As the project lead she had successfully implemented stratified follow-up or supported self-management pathways for lymphoma and breast and made significant progress in the prostate and colorectal pathways.
Alia is now the project lead for the national systemic anti- cancer therapy CRUK consent form project. She is based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) and as a specialist oncology pharmacist she continues to contribute towards the clinical service whilst managing the consent form project.
