Dr Sheeba Irshad
Sheeba Irshad is a Medical Oncologist at Guy’s Hospital Breast unit and a senior clinical lecturer at King’s College London School of Medicine. She is also a Cancer Research UK Clinician Scientist. Her clinical training experiences include the placements at the Royal Marsden and Guy’s hospitals in London. She gained her PhD in tumour immunology at King’s College London and now focusses her research on understanding the immune-tumour crosstalk in difficult to treat cancers. Following her return as a visiting scientist at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at John’s Hopkins University, Baltimore; she was appointed as a Clinical Deputy Head of King’s College London Breast Cancer Now Research Unit Programme in 2018. More recently, Dr Irshad has led a multi-centre clinical study investigating the immune responses against Sars-Cov-2 in cancer patients.
